What do you enjoy the most about being a Scrum Master?

I definitely enjoy working directly with people, building and developing a team, and improving workflows to make the collaboration more effective and pleasant. When I see that something cool is being created, I get a burst of positive energy, which is a very important part of this quite demanding and challenging work.

What makes a good team?

It all seems obvious, but it’s not easy: open and effective communication, focus on goals and priorities, engagement, mutual support, diversity of views, maturity of behavior, reasonable leadership, and, of course, lots of fun together. I am lucky to work with a team that has it all - greetings to the whole xarvio project!

Do you use agile techniques in your personal life?

Sure! Sometimes even automatically, without much thought, as a natural course of action. All in all, agile - in its essence - is simply a common-sense approach to life.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

I reset the alarm and continue to sleep! During the week, my hungry son wakes me up, so the first thing I make is breakfast. On the weekends, I allow myself to just lie in bed for a while and think about all the different things I can do with my day off, enjoying the fact that I don't actually have to do anything.

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?

Normally I would say somewhere in French Polynesia. But now, in the time of covid, when the whole family stays at home 24/7, I am longing for wilderness and peace, anywhere on the planet. Though, I would not last a whole year in a place like this. To be honest, [laugh] probably not even a month!
