What does a business mindset come down to?
You need to understand your customer. Really listen, empathise and try to suggest relevant solutions to their needs. Yes, there shall likely be qualitative and/or quantitative KPI's but it's more than that - it's about stepping outside the box to make a difference. And if if you think you're too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito!
Where do you see the most interesting change in the sector you support?
The one constant in the TMT vertical is change but 5G is where I see appetite from most TMT sub-sectors. Specifically the development of 5G-specific apps including those with AR and VR which, to date, has been slower to arrive. As coverage and adoption continues to improve these supporting apps should become more available. This will become huge in the sports & entertainment sectors.
Who was your childhood hero?
My mum. Amongst many things she taught me about hard love & consequences, eg: I stupidly stole a video game as a young teenager. When she later found out about the act she smashed that game into pieces in front of me with a 10inch hammer. Lessons learnt: Don't steal. Don't ever mess with my mum.
What's your superpower?
Excellent judge of character (apart from with my ex-wife)
What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten?
Chocolate-coated-bacon 🐷
