iNTENCE announces Company Name Change to intive automotive

Regensburg, Munich, Germany – November 16, 2020 – iNTENCE, a powerful partner at the interface between automotive and IT, announced today that it will operate under a new name and will henceforth be known as intive automotive.

A new name, broad portfolio, familiar contacts and the same great digital customer experience: this is a short description of the transformation from iNTENCE to intive automotive. In the joint portfolio, the two expert companies – iNTENCE automotive electronics in the field of automotive software development and intive in digital product development – bundle their competences. The common goal is to redesign the digital world of tomorrow. The motto "Digital Automotive Excellence" describes the claim of the new player at the interface between IT and the automotive industry.

Thanks to its early specialization in software development, iNTENCE has become a sought-after technology partner in the automotive industry over the last few years. With its extensive know-how in the future-oriented topics of autonomous driving, artificial intelligence, IT security, virtual reality and embedded software, iNTENCE successfully supports market-leading automotive manufacturers such as Audi, BMW or VW.

intive in turn focuses on the development of digital products and solutions. As a global digital powerhouse, it relies on a wealth of experience in the areas of web and mobile development, embedded SW, cloud solutions, product and UX design. Having received numerous awards – including the Red Dot Design Award – intive is a reliable partner for customers such as Vorwerk, Pro7Sat1 or BASF.

"With intive automotive we will digitally redesign the classic automotive world" – said Peter Schmidt, founder of iNTENCE and one of the two managing directors of intive automotive. "With intive’s digital know-how and the technical and automotive competences at iNTENCE, we will offer our customers the best of both worlds: A fully connected car and positive digital customer experiences."

Rolf Pasel – Chief Commercial Officer at intive and the second of the two managing directors of intive automotive – expects new momentum from the newly gained synergies: "By combining our know-how, we are looking to propel product development to new hights. We are optimally positioned and support our customers in creating worlds of digital experience for all aspects of mobility – inside and outside the vehicle." intive automotive identifies a major advantage especially in the area of connectivity. The car is increasingly becoming a smartphone on wheels and user-friendly handling of the systems is now essential as it is turning into a distinguishing feature of car manufacturers. "Our strength is to develop future-oriented operating concepts that work intuitively and are simply fun to use. With intive automotive, we are building a bridge between functionality and design," added Pasel.

With the integration into the intive group, intive automotive benefits from its global presence: 14 locations and approximately 1,600 employees provide a promising basis for opening up new markets around the globe. A local reference is also worth mentioning: besides the branches in Ingolstadt and Munich, intive is currently building a new center for digital software development on the TechCampus in Regensburg.
