Munich. August 29, 2022 – intive, the global technology company, and Vorwerk receive a Red Dot Award in the Brands and Communication Design category for the "Created Recipes" feature of the Cookidoo® platform. The award is the third worldwide design prize for the team, after "Created Recipes" received the UX Design Award and the IF Design Award earlier this year.
intive and Vorwerk have been working together since 2012 to bring the premium kitchen machine Thermomix® into a new era. This was the start of a fruitful partnership, from which the design and development of Cookidoo® emerged. The recipe platform revolutionizes cooking by integrating preparation, planning, and shopping.
Cookidoo® comes with 75,000 ready-made recipes, but users wanted to be able to upload and save their own recipes. To meet this wish, intive and Vorwerk jointly developed the "Created Recipes" function, which allows users to create, import, and modify their favorite recipes, as well save the recipes and cook them with the Thermomix®.
Stefan Bickelmann, Principal Design Strategist at intive, says : "Awards like the Red Dot Design Award are a great recognition for our designers and the successful collaboration with Vorwerk. With the 'Created Recipes' feature, we have taken three design principles into account: Humanity, Relevance and Simplicity. Through qualitative, task-based user interviews, we were able to test the product intensively. Our ultimate goal was to create a strong tool that allows users to use all recipes seamlessly across all touchpoints."
This is the second Red Dot Design Award for the intive design team, having already received the award for the Thermomix® in 2019, together with Vorwerk.
