intive Designers Recognized With an iF DESIGN AWARD 2021 for xarvio SCOUTING and GewinnArena

Munich, Germany – April 13, 2021 – intive announced today that experts of the international design panel for the IF Design Award 2021 have recognized the two entries submitted by the company for this year’s competition. intive celebrates the success with its two long-standing clients BASF Digital Farming and Seven. One Entertainment Group.

The iF DESIGN AWARD is presented annually by the world's oldest independent design institution, the iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover. This year, the prestigious seal of approval for creatives worldwide was awarded to two projects submitted by intive. The innovative concepts, redesigned by the company’s experts, are xarvio™ SCOUTING realized with BASF Digital Farming, and GewinnArena created for Seven. One Entertainment Group. It’s the second iF DESIGN AWARD final for intive’s designers in two consecutive years.

The xarvio™ SCOUTING app is among BASF’s signature digital products. Built with a user-centric approach, SCOUTING is the first AI&AR powered assistant for farmers that offers complex support in plant management. The pocket solution allows them to identify weeds, determine and count insects in yellow traps, recognize plant diseases, analyze leaf-damage and check nitrogen status simply by taking a smartphone picture. As the future is dependent on sustainable agriculture, user-friendly and easily accessible solutions such as SCOUTING become increasingly important. intive designers paid special attention to make the digital farming experience as intuitive and inclusive as possible.

GewinnArena is a digital platform redesigned for Seven. One Entertainment Group. It brings together the excitement of TV competitions and quizzes with online raffles. It presents an additional touchpoint with the popular shows on channels belonging to the Group and opens up the client’s content to new target groups. Since the product stands for mobile entertainment everywhere, designers took the mobile first approach to ensure excellent usability. GewinnArena realizes the brand’s multi-channel philosophy with an innovative, future-proof concept and user-centric design.

“I’m very proud of the team and their yet another industry recognition. Our people have worked hard to get where they are and, with each project delivered, they just keep aiming higher and making customers and users happier. Products like SCOUTING or GewinnArena showcase the importance of people-centric design in delivering value to users worldwide,” – said Johannes Dornisch, Chief Design Officer at intive. “Whether it’s farmers looking to optimize their crop production or people wishing to wind down and searching for online entertainment – truly user-centered products make all the difference. Congratulations to the team!”
