intive Nominated for The UX Design Awards 2020

The pursuit of excellence in creating people-centric products and services is a challenge to which intive’s design teams consistently and successfully rise every working day. This year, the company has been nominated for the UX Design Award 2020 as yet another token of recognition for its exceptional achievements. The web app Sustragil, developed for BASF – the largest chemical producer in the world – has been chosen to take part in the global competition for outstanding user and customer experience in the “Product” category.

BASF and intive initially joined forces to work on the xarvio™ SCOUTING - a smart application designed and developed since 2017 to support 600 million farmers on our planet.  The fruitful partnership between the two companies has laid the foundations for the next innovative ventures.

The Sustragil project started from a collaboration between intive and the Chemovator GmBH, an incubator of BASF, on preparing a high-fidelity prototype of a chemical formulation management tool. From prototyping througho validation to a first successful MVP - a design-driven concept was brought to life in the summer of 2019 and immediately received very positive feedback from early users.  Leveraging Design Thinking methodology and cutting-edge technology, BASF and intive created a product that helps chemical product managers increase efficiency and support their decision-making process.

Sustragil app design combines great functionality with usability. Attention to detail, consistency, and, most importantly, the simplicity of the Sustragil substantially speed up the traditional processes. Efficient information processing combined with a smart, easy-to-use dashboard helps chemical product managers avoid unnecessary manual tasks. Besides accelerating the procedure, the tool also guarantees legal and occupational safety.

We are truly amazed by intive’s design team’s commitment to delivering great user experiences. Together, we’ve transferred our vision into an appealing and impactful Sustragil solution that enables us to accelerate our emerging business.– comments Benjamin Hellbusch, Head Of Operations Team Sustragil at Chemovator GmbH, BASF.

For intive, this year’s UX Design Award nomination is not the first recognition by Berlin’s International Design Center. Last year, two of the company’s successful customer projects realized in cooperation with BASF Digital Farming GmbH and Vorwerk International Strecker & Co. were also accepted into the prestigious circle of 50 game-changing solutions.  One of these projects - the Cookidoo® digital platform - was honored with a Product Award 2019.

Another nomination for the UX Design Award is a great acknowledgment of intive’s design expertise.  Moreover, it’s a sign that cutting-edge UX design holds the significant unlocked potential for the chemical industry. It can solve pressing industry problems and provide a competitive advantage. – says Stefan Reisinger, Vice President Sales, Head of Digital Products at intive.
