The French Research Tax Credit (CIR) is a central tax measure aimed at encouraging innovation and business competitiveness by favoring research and development activities. The measure enables a partial funding of eligible research, development and experimentation expenses for any industrial, commercial or agricultural organization subject to corporate tax in France. The eligible expenses mainly include expenditures relative to human and material resources allocated to R&D, subcontracted R&D, technological watch, patenting or patent protection.
