intive’s CSR Activities Included in the "Responsible business in Poland. Good Practices" Report

At intive, we constantly work towards shaping a more sustainable business and serving our communities in the best possible way. This year the Responsible Business Forum – the largest Polish NGO addressing corporate social responsibility – has recognized our efforts in this domain: 9 of intive’s social projects have been included in the latest sustainability report "Responsible Business in Poland. Good practices”.

The “Responsible Business in Poland. Best Practices” report is a periodical publication featuring the most inspiring examples of CSR activities undertaken by companies every year. It offers the largest overview of CSR activities in Poland, divided into seven categories: organizational governance, human rights, labor practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and local community involvement and development. The most recent edition mentions as many as 9 intive’s initiatives which reflect the company’s advancements in driving sustainable business practices.

The “Human rights” category highlights 3 of our CSR projects, dedicated to counteracting discrimination and promoting equal treatment and diversity management in our workplace:

  • The “Less Stress!” program – an initiative that addresses the mental well-being of our employees. The “Less Stress!” program is a collection of various activities aimed at helping employees who struggle with symptoms of stress and equip them with tools to deal with stress in everyday situations.

  • “The Diversity Week” event – a series of webinars and workshops for employees on the topics of interculturalism, mental health, LGBT +, family status, communication and more.

  • The appointment of the LGBT + Ambassadors – representatives of LGBT + employees, whose responsibilities include consulting and support on all LGBT+ related matters and concerns.

The “Environment” part of the report mentions intive’s Zero Waste July initiative, which involved a series of webinars tackling a variety of zero waste topics to help intive’s employees manage waste in the workplace and everyday life in a more effective way. Similarly, in the same section the authors also recognize intive’s long-standing green practices: calculating the carbon footprint of each business trip in order to reduce unnecessary business travel and offset intive’s CO2 emissions.

Under the „Fair operating practices”, the report singles out intive’s Supplier Code of Conduct. The document, which was implemented last year, aims to promote social responsibility among our business partners: intive’s suppliers should respect human rights, provide safe workplaces, act in accordance with the law and ethical business practices, as well as respect the natural environment.

We put the highest priority on adopting the fair business practices at intive, and continually improve our business processes and procedures to contribute to the sustainable development of the market economy society. I’m really happy that our efforts have been noticed by the Responsible Business Forum and included in their report.

– commented Marta Jaworska, Compliance Manager at intive.

Finally, spotlighted in the “Local community involvement and development” category, you will find intive’s “GoRescuerApp” – an application developed by intive’s volunteers for the Medical Rescue Services Group of Polish Red Cross (Wroclaw branch) to digitalize and facilitate the management of the rescuers’ work.

In addition, the report also mentions intive’s philanthropic activities, such as participation in the “With a pure heart” charity program for the elderly, as well as donations made by the company on behalf of its employees to NGOs such as Equality Culture Association, Módulo Sanitario, ADRA Foundation Aid Belarus and UNICEF Aid for Yemen

I’m thrilled that the latest edition of the “Responsible Business in Poland. Good practices” report mentions such a wide array of intive’s CSR activities. Nowadays we live in a world where changes within the society arrive very quickly - and to face this challenge all companies should sustain a proactive approach to corporate social responsibility.

– summarized Dagmara Perlak, intive’s CSR Manager.
