Munich, Germany – August 31, 2020 – Abendzeitung Digital GmbH & Co. KG and intive join forces to redesign the online portal of the most popular local Munich newspaper, the Abendzeitung (AZ). The title, known for its regional and international news coverage as well as nationwide recognized sports content, aimed at capitalizing on the most up to date UX design practices, advancing its mobile channel and attracting a younger audience.

The AZ is focused on delivering to the busy modern reader a balanced mix of international and local news, including regional politics and market updates, sports, culture, and entertainment. The Munich-based popular daily newspaper runs a multifaceted online portal, extending the brand experience and expanding its advertising revenue. The digital channel presents the publisher with the opportunity to offer real-time updates on sports and the latest news from all the city’s neighborhoods. It serves as an information hub for all Münchners – those living in the Bavarian capital, and those who have left the city.
