intive nominated for the UX Design Awards in Berlin

Delivering top-notch user experiences has always been intive’s strong suit. Long-standing partnerships with global brands and an ever-expanding portfolio of digital transformation success stories challenge our business and experience designers to think bigger and reach higher. This year their efforts have been recognized by the industry and nominated for the UX Design Awards organized by the International Design Center Berlin. Two of the company’s successful customer projects realized with BASF Digital Farming GmbH and Vorwerk International Strecker & Co. were accepted into the prestigious circle of 50 game-changing solutions.

Innovating for precision agriculture

The world’s leading chemical company BASF partnered with intive to design and develop xarvio™ SCOUTING – a native app for iOS & Android that helps farmers and agricultural advisers identify weeds and crop diseases, analyze plant health, and optimize the timing of crop protection application. With this free smart assistant, stress symptoms in their fields can be easily detected and identified using a smartphone camera. Image recognition, deep learning algorithms and data sharing offer farmers real-time insights that support their decision-making and pave the way for a new agrarian revolution. The xarvio™ SCOUTING user base is growing by the minute, even in the most isolated rural areas of South America or India.

Cooking reimagined

Vorwerk has been simplifying homes across the globe for over 130 years. The Cookidoo® platform is tailored for the Thermomix® community – a group of everyday users of the world’s most intelligent and most successful IoT application for cooking. The UX Design Awards

The UX Design Awards are organized by IDZ Designpartner Berlin GmbH, a subsidiary of the International Design Center Berlin. It’s a global competition dedicated to recognizing and promoting the best future-oriented products and concepts powered by outstanding UX design. Positive experiences that redefine our relationship with technology and shape our modern life are the result of the large efforts of designers as well as their commitment to innovate with responsibility and a human-centered approach. With the awards, International Design Center Berlin (IDZ) pays tribute to those ideas that astonish and add value to products and services.

The first phase narrows down the most interesting ideas to just 50. The second – recognizes up to 10 award winners in the categories: “product” and “concept”. The jury names one “Gold Award” winner for each of the two. The competition is an annual event and the winners are announced during a festive ceremony held at the global technology show IFA in Berlin. This year the event will take place on September 6th, 2019. All nominated submissions will be presented to the public between September 6th and 11th.

We look forward to providing many more of our clients with world-class design across our growing international team and presence. I wish the teams the very best of luck in the next stages. " - says Bhav Chohan , VP, Global Head of Design at intive

"Maintaining that precious balance between great form and perfect usability is what our designers are good at and now it’s something noticed not only by end-users but also by the industry. We’ve significantly boosted speed and quality to ship faster than ever, connect touchpoints and improve the overall customer experience in order to strengthen our clients’ leading market positions for the next couple of years. We’re gaining momentum and it’s thrilling. " - adds Manuel Cramer, Director Experience Design at intive
