How would you describe the Application Support Engineer job to someone from another planet?

To put it simply, I find any faults or mistakes in the product. This ensures the developers know exactly what to fix. Fortunately, I— the Major Incident Manager (formerly known as the company Superman)—pinpoint anything that others may not have noticed.

Were there any unexpected opportunities that played a role in your success? 

Certainly, the departure of my former team leader was a significant moment for me. I will miss him forever 😊. He was a person who profoundly influenced my professional growth. Working with him provided me with a deeper understanding of effective communication. He also emphasized the importance of being clear and concise, which not only helped me convey my ideas more effectively but also encouraged me to think critically about how I present my thoughts. His guidance pushed me to refine my communication skills and adapt my style to better connect with others. This unexpected opportunity to learn from him has been invaluable in my journey toward success.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Delegating and vigilance is key.

Is there a gadget you can't live without? And why?

Absolutely, my Ricoh GRIII pocket camera! This little thing has been with me for 2 whole years and has helped me create snapshots of all the little moments, such as cycling with my friends.

What's on your "bucket list"? 

I have quite a long one, as I love to explore and travel. Mainly, I dream of free-diving into the Adriatic Sea on the Italian coast and learning how to sew using a machine.
