Banco Galicia Nave: Driving Business Innovation
In 2022, Banco Galicia teamed up with intive to develop Nave.
Merchants can harness Nave’s simple and accessible features to offer multiple payment methods to their clients, gather all business data in one single place, get immediate accreditation from their sales, and access real-time information.
Nearly 20 intive developers work hand in hand with the Galicia team in the creation and maintenance of the Nave platform. intive experts are part of three different teams: Seller, Onboarding, and Core Services, which are essential for the development of the platform’s key functionalities.
As providing a seamless onboarding process and user-friendly interface are paramount, the Onboarding team is dedicated to the creation of a smooth user experience from the very first interaction.
Developers involved in this mission perform Backend and Frontend tasks, working on user login, user management (roles & profiles), and integrations with payment providers for merchant registration. They also take care of the enablement of payments through different methods, such as credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and QR code transfers.
As an integral platform, Nave operates within a complex ecosystem and requires the daily management of interconnected domains. For this ecosystem to work seamlessly, there is a lot of Backend services development that needs to happen behind the scenes, including the integration with external e-commerce sites.
To take on this challenge, the Core Services team delivers cross-tribe services. Being a 100% Backend team, it provides a centralized approach to the integration of vital external services, such as accounting and payment systems. This connectivity enables businesses to effortlessly link their online stores with the solutions offered by Nave.
One standout feature of the Nave platform is the extensive selection of digital and traditional payment methods available. To make this possible, the Seller team developed a solution that allows stores to provide their customers with quick and secure payment options, including QR codes, payment links, bank transfers, and card transactions.
This system involves two major areas of development: the transactional aspect related to payments, where it interacts with many other actors in the financial ecosystem; and the visual aspect, where businesses can manage and view the payments made.
The heightened market demand for this payments feature is causing intive experts to build even more innovation into the product. Following industry standards to make it more robust, scalable, and low maintenance entails migrating the transactional part to a queuing architecture while addressing all the issues that were identified in the current version.
Another functionality developed by the Seller team is access to key analytics, which enables future-focused business management. The manager of a medium-sized business or the owner of a small store can plan better sales strategies by knowing the days of highest sales, the average per purchase, and the most popular payment methods chosen by customers.
As keeping a close eye on the business performance is critical, Nave provides insights into sales analytics from up to 3 years ago, including a sales ranking of different stores, the evolution of the business’s sales, and projections for future months. Furthermore, businesses can gain access to their competitors' analytics, giving them a clear understanding of their market position.
In addition, Nave provides detailed data on the payments made through credit cards, the name of the branches where they were made, and their respective operation numbers. The platform also allows businesses to check information on the taxes paid and commissions collected, which is relevant for both financial management and legal compliance.
