The Challenge

A leading US media company was looking to establish an AI Labs team to explore and harness the transformative potential of Generative AI and Large Language Models. Through this initiative, they sought to enhance user experience, deliver superior services, and remain at the forefront of the dynamic AI landscape.
Our Solution

Our approach involved close collaboration between intive’s experts in AI, UX Research, Software Architecture, and Project Management, and the client’s stakeholders to identify areas where AI could maximize value. Together, we uncovered and prioritized problem statements, planned the Proof-of-Concept (PoC) stage, assessed feasibility, and crafted both an implementation plan and visual prototype. Finally, adhering to defined success criteria, we developed the MVP.

Phase 1: Discovery & Ideation

During 4 weeks, we conducted a Discovery with the client to identify and document pain points, opportunities, and areas of improvement in both their products and processes. Based on the most critical problem statements, our technical experts determined the best AI solutions to implement, capable of addressing key issues and generating business value and ROI.
Thanks to this successful process and outcome, the client was able to make informed decisions and choose from a wide variety of PoC implementation options. As a result, a shortlist was prioritized for development.

Phase 2: AI PoC Enablement

Over two months, we worked seamlessly with the client’s team to develop and refine several high-potential PoC projects. To maximize transparency and ensure continuous feedback, we held weekly demos showcasing the latest AI advancements and UI design details in Figma. These sessions were not limited to polished outputs; when insights were best gleaned through code, we incorporated live Python demonstrations for real-time adjustments and ensured the final product aligned perfectly with the customer’s vision. Furthermore, we crafted a comprehensive deck at the end of each week, providing complete access to the project's code repository, Figma mockups, a high-level architecture overview, and a detailed implementation plan for the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) phase.

Phase 3: MVP & Product Development

Following an extensive review of the PoCs, the customer strategically selected a subset of projects to move forward with. This decisive selection signified their confidence in the potential of these AI initiatives and paved the way for the exciting MVP development phase. Each PoC was then transformed into an MVP, enabling rapid testing and iteration to ensure the final solutions delivered maximum value. This focused approach drove product innovation and optimized resource allocation, bringing impactful AI solutions to life for the customer's business.

The entire process implemented for the client has proven successful, demonstrating noteworthy achievements even before reaching the MVP stage.  

Through the careful definition and execution of various project phases, we have provided the client with a valuable opportunity to assess the true potential impact on their business. This approach has empowered them to prioritize numerous options that AI enables today.

Moreover, the ability to swiftly articulate a product vision from the user interface not only expedites the development cycle but also fosters a deeper understanding of its value.
